A Satisfying Judicial Decision...

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"Judge Eric Davis of the Delaware Superior Court declined to dismiss Dominion Voting System's lawsuit against Fox News in a significant ruling Thursday. He called out, in the 52-page opinion, that Fox News may have slanted its coverage to push election fraud, knowing the accusations were wrong."
"Fox and its news personnel continued to report Dominion purported connection to the election fraud claims without also reporting on Dominion's emails ... Given that Fox apparently refused to report contrary evidence, including evidence from the Department of Justice, the Complaint's allegations support the reasonable inference that Fox intended to keep Dominion's side of the story out of the narrative," the judge wrote."

Capitol Rioter Gets Five Years & Repents

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"A Florida man who enthusiastically attacked police at the US Capitol on January 6 with a fire extinguisher, a wooden plank and a pole was sentenced to more than five years in prison on Friday, the longest sentence for a Capitol rioter thus far." "His 63-month sentence could set a benchmark for the more than 140 others who face the same charge."
"Every day we are hearing about reports of antidemocratic factions, people plotting potential violence in 2024," District Judge Tanya Chutkan said as she handed down the sentence. "It has to be made clear that trying to stop the peaceful transition of power, assaulting law enforcement, is going to be met with certain punishment."
"Palmer also said in a letter to the judge that he now realizes former President Donald Trump "lied" to supporters about the election."
"They kept spitting out the false narrative about a stolen election and how it was 'our duty' to stand up to tyranny," Palmer wrote. "Little did I realize that they were the tyrannical ones desperate to hold onto power at any cost even by creating the chaos the knew would happen with such rhetoric."

It is small-minded of Biden. He wants the bought and paid for steel to rust. He will not let Texas use it. What a waste for the taxpayers. Yesterday there was video of Biden sounding very empty-headed. I can't see how he is going to make it to the end of his term.
Mel,
Does the word, "apprehended" mean anything to you?

"Most of the 1.96 million migrants apprehended by the U.S. Border Patrol and the Office of Field Operations of U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Fiscal Year 2021 took place at the southern border," "The previous record for migrant apprehensions at the southern border was 1.64 million in 2000, and the next highest figure of 1.62 million was reported in 1986, the year the U.S. Congress passed the Immigration Reform and Control Act, which led to the legalization and a path to citizenship for more than 3 million undocumented immigrants."

The Boys Are Back In Town

Posted By Rod Kaufman

A Trump team of conspiracy-based syncopates are meeting this weekend in Phoenix Arizona, breaking up into focus groups in conference rooms to discuss how to formulate and disseminate various election conspiracy theories, anti-vaccine messages and methods, how to intimate and take over local school boards and inculcate a bevy of misinformation modules into the base.
That's what they're spending their time and energy on this weekend:

Love it! White House is Pissed at Manchin.

"A failure to pass BBB has negative growth implications," Goldman Sachs economists, led by Jan Hatzius, said in the research report."
"Citing the "apparent demise" of Build Back Better, Goldman Sachs now expects GDP to grow at an annualized pace of 2% in the first quarter, down from 3% previously.
The bank also trimmed its GDP forecasts for the second quarter to 3% (from 3.5% previously) and the third quarter to 2.75% (compared with 3% previously). It specifically pointed to the expiration of the child tax credit and the lack of the other new spending that had been anticipated"

The spending that would be done by the Build Back Stupid plan that the idiot in the White House put forth, constructed by radical leftist Democrats all around him would have headed this nation toward bankrupting it.

NOTHING was paid for in that boondoggle, moronic spending bill, but he told idiotic, moronic, low IQ Democrats all through his party that it was, which was simply a baldfaced lie and clapping seals who support him, gave out their affirmative tonal honks like the buffoons they are.

The fact is that Joe Manchin is at least bright enough to smell the bullshit that Biden, the Dems, and his White House was peddling, but since you peddle that same bullshit all the time, you don't recognize the stench of the bullshit since it flows out of your mouth continuously.   wink
Hey Itchy Richie, Beyond your above BS, do you think the Goldman Sachs estimate of decreased GDP will appear in the Townhall Tipsheet? I think it will,  but not until it happens and when it happens they won't tell you why and they'll blame it on Biden. Sound about right?...
"CBO estimates that enacting this legislation would result in a net increase in the deficit totaling $367 billion over the 2022-2031 period, not counting any additional
revenue that may be generated by additional funding for tax enforcement."

Since they've redone the bill, the CBO revised their estimates Moron.

Here ya' go dumbass.

And it is from your very own source, captain dipshit, CNN.

Just how stupid are you?  Oh wait, no response needed, because you are quite possibly the most ignorant person I've ever been acquainted with.

From the article:   The CBO estimates that the version of the legislation without sunsets would "increase the deficit by $3 trillion over 2022 to 2031." The analysis assumes that any extension wouldn't be paid for. The current bill, known as the Build Back Better Act, does not include such extensions to the provisions.

God, I've been known a few complete idiots in My life, but compared to you, they are Einsteinian in their intellectual competence.  smile
Oh Itchy Richie, here's the key phrase you should have highlighted: "The analysis assumes that any extension wouldn't be paid for. The current bill, known as the Build Back Better Act, does not include such extensions to the provisions."
And, from the link: "The current bill, known as the Build Back Better Act, does not include such extensions to the provisions." Also from the link:
"The latest CBO score is a Republican-led effort to show that the bill costs more than Democrats say it does, but Democrats are arguing that many provisions in their proposal sunset and therefore the true cost is not what Republicans say it is.
President Joe Biden has also said publicly that if any of the programs in Build Back Better were extended, they would be paid for in those subsequent years."

December 10, 2021

Honorable Chuck Schumer
Majority Leader
United States Senate
Washington, DC 20510

Re: Response to a Question About CBO’s Analysis of Making Specified
Policies in the Build Back Better Act Permanent

Dear Mr. Leader:
This letter responds to your question about the effects on the deficit of the
potential modifications to H.R. 5376, the Build Back Better Act, that were
included in an analysis that the Congressional Budget Office released
earlier today.1 The modifications that CBO analyzed were specified by
Senator Lindsey Graham and Congressman Jason Smith.

The modifications would make various policies permanent rather than temporary, making the
deficit larger than the version of the bill that was passed by the House of
Representatives would.
You inquired whether CBO was asked to analyze any policies that would
offset the costs of making various policies permanent. In CBO’s estimation,
none of the modifications would make the deficit smaller over the 2022 -
2031 period, with one small exception.

And to explain that to dummies like yourself, is that the Marxist Democrat Chuck Schumer got mad at the CBO because they reported honestly, that the Democrats made modifications to the Build Back Stupid Act, which made the estimates such that the deficit would NOT get Smaller than the $3 Trillion Deficit that the Bill would cause the Gov't to Incur over that period.

Perhaps you're just too stupid to understand the costs of the BBS Act proposed by your Marxist Democrats but that is the cost plain and simple.
Oh Itchy Richie here we go again with your typical BS!
NONE of the "modifications" that the Republicans (Graham and Smith) requested to be analyzed are permanent because they were in a bill that was being NEGOTIATED at the time hence the statement of " potential modifications to H.R. 5376". It's a hypothetical exercise that indicates what might happen if those "potential modifications" were actually included within the final bill.
