Wow Tom that is a stunner.

I am such a fan of your images I love them.

Could you tell me the RA DEC for that area?

Gum 1 I think is near the Vela Supernova remnant?

How do you find these objects? I have been imaging
these skies for 3 years and haven't seen anyone image this
before except perhaps John G with Ha.

Cheers,

Greg.

Oh my god Tom that is a seriously beautiful image. I can't believe how good it is.

Again a great choice of object another one that I was unaware of.

You really have a sensational setup going there and your processing style
and precision of execution are absolutely top of the line.

Are you now the best astrophotgrapher in the world?

These last 2 images say you are.

I am definitely ordering an adapter for my AP TCC to attach my Apogee U16m
to my AP140 and its TCC.

What filters are you using? Astrodon gen 2?

How do you get those lovely yellow stars that are your trademark in your images?

I am amazed. The best image I have seen for a long time.

Greg.

New Astrodon Gen 2 RGBL filters are here!

Hi Floyd,

I am interested in hearing your test as I am considering some of those.

For me the test would be if you are using a reducer or a flattener to see
how it handles reflections which are more of an issue with the large
16803 chipped cameras.

It turned out very nice albeit a little dark but with the gradient problems I understand you had no choice. Are you using Gradient Xterminator?

There is no substitute for dark skies though. Hard though if you drive a long way only to see clouds!

This object is worth it.
