Great shot Louie.

The FSQ106ED has a bit of quirk in the focus lock. I found with mine if I
had it totally loose and got perfect focus and then locked it that it would shift
the focus slightly and through it off a bit.

So I focus with the focus lock partially engaged (the excellent microfocuser which is the best on the market will move the focus through it). Then tighten it up when perfect focus is achieved.

Also you have some sag in your imaging train. The bottom section seems out of focus yet up top seems quite well focused. Make sure your captains wheel is tight or it can cause sag.

Thanks very much for the kind remarks. I am thrilled with the
performance of this new scope.

The image was taken under poor seeing for my area where even the stars near the zenith were twinkling which is a rare thing there.

Very nice Floyd. A touch of too much green in the background on my monitor.
