Hillary's emails

Where is that same outrage now? It seems the guy who wears orange makeup with the really weird hairdo took a bunch of stuff he wasn't supposed to take to Mar A Lago when he hastily departed the WH. Some might even be classified, but regardless it wasn't legal to take them, it's all supposed to go to the archives.

Ivanka and Jared used their own email accounts? Ho hum, doesn't apply to us.

Trump would tear up documents and they would have to be taped back together for the archives?

You guys on the right are just fine with all this, right?
The toilet, too:
"White House staff "did find clumped/torn/shredded papers and fished them out from blocked bathroom toilet — and believed it had been the president's doing."

The Super Bowl Flyover...

I'm for it during an airshow but for a football game, not so much. I'm definitely against it during political theater as had happened during the Trump years. Basically, I don't have a fanatical attitude as many do about the super bowl. On the other hand, I don't understand APPLE's lead news story this morning being Kim Karrdashian's life after Kanye, either...

The Super Bowl Flyover...

I can't believe some of the stuff I see in connection with the super bowl. In previous years, the traffic on the freeway is noticeably less because people take Monday off because they have to "recover" from their super bowl experience the day before. Now, it's the Super Bowl Flyover:

Birx On Trump and Covid

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"Birx has also testified behind closed doors as part of a House subcommittee investigation into the Trump administration's response. Birx said Trump's resistance to promoting basic public health mitigation resulted in more than 100,000 avoidable deaths."
"Birx said she advocated for a stronger response to the pandemic, but was repeatedly undermined by Trump's COVID-19 adviser Scott Atlas."

Palen's Suit Is Dismissed!

My understanding is that Palin wants her case appealed all the way to the supreme court and has always known she would lose in the lower courts. She believes the Cons on the court will side with her and throw the Sullivan precedent out the window, and if they do, so much for free press. My hope is that she fails to get the case there and she gets hit with an enormous legal bill for knowingly pursuing a lost cause. But I suspect she's either got private conservative funding behind her effort and/or her lawyers are doing pro-bono work for a conservative cause. On the other hand, I think it's a safe bet Clarence and Gorsuck will side her so she has her hopes held high by the supreme beings...

Palen's Suit Is Dismissed!

Even before the jury renders its verdict:
"Judge Jed Rakoff, the judge overseeing former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's defamation lawsuit against the New York Times, said Monday afternoon that he will dismiss the suit, ruling that Palin's team did not prove a key element of its case."
"Rakoff's ruling came while the jury is deliberating over a verdict -- and Rakoff said he will allow the jury to continue deliberating and to reach a verdict, and will dismiss the case once it has done so."

"Don't think it's just going to go away."

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"I think it's the Republican Party falling apart," said Leonard Moty, the loser in this month's Shasta County recall election for his supervisor seat, according to preliminary results. He says his loss is a win for extremists and warns other Republicans that the rage of the far right is driving them to take on local governments. "Don't think it's just going to go away. Don't think this can't happen to you," he said."
This is a warning for what's coming. It's not gonna be peaceful much longer," Zapata told the board, saying Covid health restrictions needed to be dropped immediately." "I'm telling you what I will do to save this country. If it has to be against our own citizens, it will happen and there are a million people like me, and you won't stop us."

Oh I know, I know, just another handful of extremist nut jobs, right?...

Patagonia, REI, North Face: Stay In Colorado/ Stay Out Of Utah

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"Patagonia, REI, North Face and others threaten to boycott major outdoor show if it’s moved to Utah"
"The biannual Outdoor Retailer show, ... generates tens of millions of dollars in local economic impact,..."
"The outdoors industry took a stand after Utah lawmakers asked President Donald Trump in February 2017 to repeal the newly designated Bears Ears National Monument. "Thirty outdoor companies objected, and the Outdoor Retailer show announced it would move from its longtime home in Salt Lake City to Denver."
"The following December, Trump reduced the size of the Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante national monuments in Utah. Patagonia sued and declared on its website, “The President Stole Your Land.”
"Those protections have since been restored by President Joe Biden, but The Conservation Alliance says Utah’s leaders are still trying to undermine the monuments."
