I was just browsing through some older images and came across an image of M3. This was one of my first images with the 2000XCM color CCD and an 8" Meade LX200.

Ha image with a 2000XCM color ccd. The framing is weird but it was very hard trying to find a guide star with an Ha filter through a color ccd. The guide exposure were 30 seconds long to finaly find something. 6 x 30 minute exposures. This is the red channel only since the final color image was just red.

This is by far one of my favorite DSO.
This was taken last night under a blazing full moon.

Tak FSQ106 on an EM200 Temma 2 goto mount
8 x 15 minutes with an Ha filter
SBIG 2000XM with a CFW8 with new Kodak chip
Maxim 4.0
Photoshop CS
Neat Image

Finished Rosette

Finished image of the Rose. Green and blues were taken last night and Ha was taken a few days ago.
I bought a new computer a few weeks ago and the difference the image looks is pretty dramatic. What looks good on my laptop, looks way too bright on my new monitor. Let me know what you see, I may need to make some adjustments.
FSQ106 on EM200 mount

Seems the ccd imaging forum was split and I didn't even realize it. I've been stuck in the solar system. I was wondering why no one was posting any DSO's. DUH

I really enjoy the fine Jupiter images from the top imagers who post on this site, Wes, Paolo and many others.
Here's my contribution. It's my personal best and I'd like to show it to someone since all my wife can see is dollar signs.
