i'll not rise to the Democrat/left baiting except to say that there'll be plenty enough of that over the next few weeks everywhere... and frankly, i find it sickening and generally unproductive.
That being said, Good on the US. Sorry that it took so damned long, but now at least that's one on the hit list taken care of.
Guess my biggest disappointment is that the people of Iraq didn't get the chance to give him the "Mussolini treatment" before we caught up with the pathetic little coward.
i have to wonder what next. Unlike you, i never bought in to the Iraq/9.11 tie-in. i think the WTC attacks provided the excuse, and while i think that the action in Afghanistan was perhaps a valid response, Iraq is a sideshow intended only to intimidate North Korea and Iran (and i don't think it's working, BTW,) to cover Israel's back door, and secure the flow of ME oil in our direction.
No tears here for Saddam... sorry if that disappoints you.

Republicans just spend.
i heard somewhere recently that Dubya's administration has outspent LBJ's and is on its way to outspending FDR's... Reagan was no slouch either when it came to running a deficit.
That's #2 with a bullet... on its way to #1...
Now... who's going to pay for this blooming beficit? My grandchildren, if i ever have any, and probably their grandchildren. Pretty neat trick in this world of shrinking resources in a nation that has kicked over to a service (not a production) economy.
If i ran my household like this administration runs the country, i'd be on the street. Heck, i may yet anyway... no one is more than a paycheck or two from the breadline.
