It certainly isn't any more reprehensible than the left continuous for the 4 years that Trump was in office, calling him a Traitor, a Putin plant, and colluding with the enemy Russia.

They called him every name in the book and Biden said that Donald Trump KILLED 500,000 Americans and that ALL of them would be alive if Trump had addressed Covid the way he claimed he didn't.

If you have the time, read the Trump interview all the way through, or at least the first half.   In this case I don't think the context makes Trump look much better than Rod's original post.  Trump fawns over Putin.  He boasts that none of this would have happened if he was in office.  His ego is on full display.  I have not read the CNN-ish stuff where they are no doubt portraying Trump's comments as high treason.  But I personally think this interview, Trump's own words in context, make him look very bad.  I sincerely hope he drops out of politics soon, but I' pretty sure that is just a fantasy.      Jim

From the your quoted post of Trump's comments and those in TheHill, I hear Trump, as usual, talking out of both sides of his face. On the one hand, he praises Putin for what he has done and calls hims a genius for doing it. On the other, he states or implies that Putin would have never done anything like that if he were president. So, in other words, Putin is, per Trump, a "genius" for doing what he's doing but, implicitly, he would not be acting like one if Trump happened to be president. That's the real rub and contradiction here, regardless of Trump's motivations such as his ego or his own stupidity in saying what he does.
Moscow Mitch wasn't much better when he stated Putin decided to invade because the USA "precipitously" left Afghanistan while conveniently forgetting Putin invaded the Crimea and didn't care if the US was fully engaged in Afghanistan in 2014. Moscow Mitch's criticism was a non-sequitur but it's likely right wing media will run with it anyway. Trump statements, however, are worlds ahead worse and indeed, his comments as well as those of Tucker Carlson appear on Russian TV which obviously plays into Putin's hands while it gives simultaneous aid and comfort to the enemy.
BTW, Putin stated yesterday that he was going into the Ukraine for two reasons: 1, To demilitarize it and 2, De-Natzify it. Russian state controlled TV played world war 2 movies all day yesterday. Maybe they've got their own Russian WW2 movies but I'm guessing they played, "Enemy At The Gates" with Jude Law and Ed Harris or, perhaps, "Escape From Sobibor" with Rutger Hauer...

Biden is not good at this and other leaders are taking their measure of him. Iran is watching his every move. Are there still Dems that deny China believes they will have an easier time getting Taiwan back if Biden is president? Too many voters would rather talk about Trump being orange or taking an extra scoop of ice cream! As usual, you don't have a clue. Biden has a united front of the leadership of multiple countries behind him in his efforts to sanction Putin. A number of these same countries, primarily in Europe, were the same ones Trump alienated during his presidency...
