Trump Supports Putin on Ukraine, Calls Him A Genius!

"Former President Trump on Tuesday called Russia's recognition of two breakaway territories in eastern Ukraine a "genius" move ahead of its military invasion."

Well, there you have it and a step beyond Tucker Carlson's claims that Putin's positions are "reasonable". So, do you support the views of Tucker and Trump on their comrade in the Kremlin or not?

Republican National Senatorial Committee Finally Unveils Policy Proposals...

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"The chairman of Senate Republicans' campaign operation on Tuesday unveiled his vision for the future of the GOP"
"I'll warn you; this plan is not for the faint of heart," Sen. Rick Scott of Florida, the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, writes in the introduction to his 11-point plan, which he said he hoped would "strike fear in the heart of some Republicans."
"Among the most attention-grabbing of his proposals in the memo, which says it was paid for by his campaign and not the NRSC, is completing Donald Trump's border wall and naming it after the former President, as well as calling for all Americans to pay an income tax."
If that's not enough, the plans call for closing the department of education, cutting the IRS by 50% despite requiring everyone to pay taxes, and "reducing the government workforce by 25% in five years and selling off government buildings and assets."
There's more but you get the drift:

And the some of the cons on the forum have said before that they don't like Trump but they like his policies...

Reminds me of a relicensure seminar I had to take via zoom the other week wherein a guy said there was no covid deaths in children and masks don't work. In reality, there have been more than a 1000 covid deaths in children in the USA and thousands more elsewhere. The efficacy of wearing a mask in preventing the spread of covid is well documented and, in the case of an N95, in protecting the person who wears it. Apparently, the presenter of misinformation gets it from the same place as Nutzoid does...

I hated this line of thought when the US press decided Trump required special treatment.  Freedom is too precious to trust the gatekeeping of information to any allegedly benign authority.

What to do about disinformation?  (A) the authorities can publish better information, and (B) information consumers can weigh the competing viewpoints for themselves.  In the case of anti-vax disinformation, did this cost peoples lives?  In my opinion it did.  Free speech is worth the price.

Jim
Jim,
I think you proceed from a false premise that freedom of speech has somehow been curtailed. The daily rantings and ravings of the misinformation superspreaders prove that it has not. The protestors in question have certainly been taken in by it but they haven't been suppressed because of it. They've been removed for violations of the law and not because of an impingement on free speech.

The hysterics of those like yourself is Unparalled.

More children die from Pneumonia every year.

Also to put the 1000 figure in perspective, children are about 1/4 of the entire population of this nation, with 73,000,000, so 1000 in 73 Million have died of Covid.

Since you're pathetic at understanding or performing simple math, I'll explain it to you.

Extrapolated against ALL deaths, children dying of Covid make up about 1 out of every 175 deaths, from Covid.

Now, to even put more of a damper on your unbelievable hysterics, of all 1000 children who died of Covid, 99% had serious Co Morbidities so the fact is that they may have died of another cause, but were labeled as deaths from Covid. '

So then to explain it even further to a person whose IQ is maybe double digits on his best day.

There are 330,000,000 people in this country and if ALL were children, we'd have 4000 total deaths from Covid in the last 2 years, nothing to get even remotely excited about.

About a handful of the children who have died from Covid, died with no other symptoms.

In essence children aren't dying from Covid.   But trying to explain that fact to a run of the mill meathead, is futile.  That person doesn't have the spark in his brain of a matchstick lighting.  wink

You're just proving that you haven't the ability to discern data whatsoever.
Nutzoid,
"At least 1,000 children in the United States have lost their lives to COVID-19, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)."
"According to available data as of December 15, a breakdown of 677,393 coronavirus deaths showed 1,005 persons between the ages of 0 and 17."

Jim,
What I would like to see is the equivalent of fact-checking alerts that occur on some social media platforms that alert the reader to covid misinformation. I'd like to see an ongoing alert along the lines of a disclaimer that, for example, alerts the viewer that a court of law has determined Tucker Carlson's commentary should not be taken literally and no reasonable person would believe it. That's not censorship, it's an informed viewership...

"that 99% figure sure seems like it must be an exaggeration."
It is and I've covered this before in conjunction with covid and comorbidities. It must be realized that covid is a PLUS-0NE event. That means those who succumb to it with co-morbidities do so because of it and not the co-morbidity itself which these individuals already have. In other words, if covid had not been contracted, the individuals would still be alive, albeit with their pre-existing conditions. The latter may have weakened their immune systems making them more vulnerable to the virus but it is the addition of the virus that kills them. Pre-existing organ damage from a co-morbidity does results in the same scenario.
