My attempt at M1

Posted By Paul Maxson

Hi all,

I have been working with this data for over a week and finally got my break through today. The image quality is average (January seeing here isn't really great), but overall I'm ok with the results. I'm still getting used to the TOA-130/ST10XME combo. This is the result of over 4hrs of data.

Thanks!!

Mars January 19, 2008

Posted By Paul Maxson

Hi all,

Here are my efforts on Mars from the evening of January 18 (Jan 19 UT) with my TOA-130. The good news is (for me) I am expecting the Mewlon 250 back any minute. TNR found problems and got them fixed. Of course we are expecting rain starting Thursday through Monday.

Need help/ opinions...please!!

Hi all,

I just got my Mewlon 250 back after getting it re-colliminated, cleaned and generally back to like new condition. I paid over $600 for this including shipping both ways. Attached are inside focus/outside focus star images shot after the scope had 2 hrs of cooldown. I tried to image Mars, but all I got was mush. I imaged Mars with the TOA-130 and preliminary images are the best I've seen so far. Anyway, do I need to contact the company that did the work and get better?

Mars January 23, 2008

Hi all,

Hopefully this is the last Mars image with the TOA-130 for a while as I have the Mewlon back and collimated. Just waiting for these storms to pass. Anyway, seeing was very good when I shot these.

Mars January 26, 2008 with the Mewlon!!

Hi all,

Finally got the Mewlon collimated and everything working. The seeing was average or a little less than, but I'm quite happy with the images.

Hi all,

I almost didn't go out last night, but seeing was much better than I thought it would be.

Sunspot AR 10982 and TOA first solar light

Posted By Paul Maxson

Hi all,

Seeing was horrible, but 10982 is the first spot we've had since I got my Herschel Wedge and adapter for my SM60 to my TOA-130. Here are images. The H-a image ir rotated because the camera setup rotated before I shot the series and I didn't see it (my head was under the hood).

Mars February 6, 2008 and my new webpage location

Posted By Paul Maxson

Hi all,

I'm back to the TOA-130 for a while because the EM-200 mount the Mewlon250 sits on blew a circuit (we think) and is on it's way to TNR. Anyway here is an image I made of Mars on Feb 6 with the TOA-130.

Also, I have moved my webpage to the following location. The old page will disappear in a few days.
