Hmmm, perhaps Clarence Thomas is glad he's in the hospital.

Why wouldn't he recuse himself, oh wait, that might not look good. Neither does what his wife was doing according to the texts obtained by the WaPo and CBS News.

Yeah, I'm sure Richie and his minions here will just blow it off as a nothing burger.

"Virginia Thomas, a conservative activist married to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, repeatedly pressed White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows to pursue unrelenting efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election in a series of urgent text exchanges in the critical weeks after the vote, according to copies of the messages obtained by The Washington Post and CBS News.

The messages — 29 in all — reveal an extraordinary pipeline between Virginia Thomas, who goes by Ginni, and President Donald Trump’s top aide during a period when Trump and his allies were vowing to go to the Supreme Court in an effort to negate the election results.

On Nov. 10, after news organizations had projected Joe Biden the winner based on state vote totals, Thomas wrote to Meadows: “Help This Great President stand firm, Mark!!!...You are the leader, with him, who is standing for America’s constitutional governance at the precipice. The majority knows Biden and the Left is attempting the greatest Heist of our History.”
I posted about it at the time. Thomas is nothing more than a partisan political hack. He's not a jurist; he's a conservative activist.

Ginni Thomas On January 6th events: "it takes time for the army who is gathering for his back,” said the “Left” was “attempting the greatest Heist of our History,” championed the ludicrous claims of Trump’s lawyer Sidney Powell (“Sounds like Sidney and her team are getting inundated with evidence of fraud”), complained about being “disgusted” with Vice President Mike Pence for approving the results, and declared Biden’s win meant “the end of Liberty.”

As one juris doctor stated, Ginni Thomas is a holy warrior for the big lie.
Clarence was the ONLY judge to back Trump's ludicrous assertion of executive privilege in attempting to block records to the January 6th commission with the latter assertion shot down by both the appeals court and the rest of the judges on the supreme court.
Thomas should resign or be impeached:  https://thehill.com/regulation/599821-thomas-scrutiny-intensifies-after-latest-revelations

Plus, Ukraine knocked off another Ruskie general today. That makes six to date! Marjorie Taylor Greene really isn't going to like that plus she's probably depressed over this:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBptMcl6G-I

Federal Jury Awards Millions To Demonstrators Injured In George Floyd Protests

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"A federal jury Friday awarded $14 million in compensatory and punitive damages to 12 people who were injured by Denver police officers while protesting the death of George Floyd in 2020, according to court documents."
"After deliberating for nearly five hours, the jury decided that Denver police response during protests in May and June 2020 violated these protesters' constitutional rights, the documents show."

Trump Again Praises Putin Yesterday In Georgia

Posted By Rod Kaufman

At a campaign stop and lovefest yesterday with his supporters and Marjorie Taylor Greene, Trump again praises Putin:
"The smartest one gets to the top," Trump told the crowd. "That didn't work so well recently in our country. But they ask me, 'Is Putin smart?' Yes, Putin was smart. And I actually thought he was going to be negotiating. I said, 'That's a hell of a way to negotiate, put 200,000 soldiers on the border.'"
"Trump added that Putin made a "big mistake," but that "it looked like a great negotiation."
"It now seems pretty clear that Trump meant what he initially said about Putin. Because between then and now Putin has carried out a relentless and deadly attack across Ukraine. And over that same period of time, prominent Republicans have scrambled to distance themselves from Trump's Putin praise, even scolding the former President for saying what he said."
"And yet, through it all, Trump has stuck, basically, to his original line -- that Putin is a savvy player on the world stage who is always one step ahead of the United States."
"Don't overthink it: Trump keeps saying it because he believes it."

Some of your links are barely on the topic so there is doubt you read them and post what conflicts with them. You are seriously afflicted by linkitis which destroys the ability to reason. I'll see if I can find you a link.
Actually, it is you Mel who is incapable of addressing virtually any of the issues presented in a coherent manner. Often, when you initiate a thread, it's based upon something you think you've heard or read without anything to back it up. As usual, nothing in your above response even remotely addresses the issue at hand. And I don't post some "Joe Blow", either. I'll leave that to the something you think you've heard or read somewhere, wherever or whoever that is...

And you have said this when I am not saying anything controversial! It was just general knowledge! Wait, is it possible some people follow politics  more than you?
And who looks forward to discussing politics with you?
You don't get it Mel. You're not discussing politics in a political forum based upon what you think is "general knowledge". You're basing whatever you present without a source. In other words, it's hearsay. If you want to frame it in the context of, for example, "in my opinion" the following is my understanding of the case or situation at hand, then that's different but that's not what you do. I've seen several posts from you in the past that start with statements like "I think I heard" or "I think I read" or something similar and that is why I note it in my posts. You rarely, if ever, have a source for anything you post and that's why you get called on it...

Boy, have you lost it. I knew you off and this is just another glaring example.
Care to offer an opinion on the judge stating Trump's actions were criminal?
