Consumer Price Index went up 8 1/2% over the year prior and the Producer Price Index went up 11.2%.

From today's business section on CNN:
"Consumers are feeling better about the economy, despite rising prices"
"Americans are feeling slightly better about the economy again, in part because they believe the worst of the latest surge in gas prices is behind them, consumer sentiment data showed Thursday."
"A strong labor market bolstered wage expectations among consumers under age 45 to 5.3% -- the largest expected gain in more than three decades, since April 1990," said Curtin."

That is what CNN says consumers under 45 are expecting.  Really?  So they are expecting it.

You told us previously that we were all expecting gas prices to go down, but then they went UP by 50 cents.

So much for your 'expectations'

Since the average household is bringing in something on the order of $62K per year, the average family is losing $2K per year.

Hilarious that you just repeat their story with zero analysis on your part.
Why do you continue to make crap up and somehow think anybody, except some con on the forum, believes you?
"The inflation rate (the one that they lie about) is at 8.5%."
From the article:
"The Consumer Price Index, a key measure of inflation, rose to a fresh 40-year high in March, increasing 8.5% year-over-year. Inflation is one of the main drivers of the sentiment survey."
"The wage EXPECTATIONS, not Wage INCREASES was at 5.3%.

So the point is they have reason to expect it, unlike you.

"You told us previously that we were all expecting gas prices to go down,"
From the article:
""Retail gas prices have fallen since the March peak, and that fact was immediately recognized by consumers," said Richard Curtin, chief economist at the University of Michigan's Surveys of Consumers."

Tennessee State Senator To Homeless: Hitler Is Your Inspiration!

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"A Tennessee state senator on Wednesday used Adolf Hitler as an example of inspiration and hope for the homeless during a speech on the floor of the state’s upper chamber."
Republican senator Frank Niceley said, " he was going to give his fellow lawmakers a “history lesson,” adding that in 1910, Hitler took to the streets and practiced his oratory and his people skills."

Why won't Trump criticize Putin even now?

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Here's what a federal judge said today about Trump after a jury found a Jan 6 perp guilty on all counts:
"After the verdict, federal Judge Reggie Walton blasted former President Donald Trump's conduct."
"The insurgency, and it was in effect that, is very troubling," Walton said. "I think our democracy is in trouble because unfortunately we have charlatans, like the former President, in my view, who don't care about democracy and only care about power."
https://www.cnn.com/2022/04/14/politics/dustin-thompson-january-6-trump/index.html
The cons on the forum won't criticize him for Jan 6 so why would they criticize him for failing to take a stand against Putin? Of course, with righteous indignation, none on the forum support Russia against Ukraine and damn anybody else who think they would...

The "ussr" dissolved decades ago.
That said, the point of the thread is that Trump won't call out Putin for waging war on Ukraine and the cons here won't call out Trump, either.
China had nothing to do with Putin's decision to invade Ukraine and trying to imply otherwise is nonsense.

In other words, Trump would rather do anything than be seen as possibly supporting Biden or his efforts.  It is self-centered and horrific beyond belief in my opinion.

Jim
Whereas the bottom line remains the same, ie Trump won't call out Putin nor will the cons call out Trump for not doing so, I have to disagree with your rationale based upon Trump's actions with Putin and NATO while in the WH and before Biden became a factor. The fiasco in Helsinki wherein Trump took Putin's word that Russia didn't interfere in the election over that of multiple US intelligence agencies that he did is one example. The constant drumbeat of Trump to criticize NATO while in office, much to the delight of Putin, is another. Trump's order to remove the notes of an interpreter during his meetings and conversations with Putin is suspicious at best.  All of this occurred before Biden entered the scene.
