Governor Abbott's order to inspect every single truck carrying fruits and vegetables coming from Mexico for migrants and drugs failed to find a single migrant or a single drug. Thousands of truck were delayed with a result of decaying produce and fruits coming from Mexico with the end result being more supply line shortages and higher prices. Republican pressure on Abbott caused him to regain whatever sanity he may possess and he reversed his order:

What I stated in this thread is that we had this conversation and we did along these lines. Don't split hairs here on something like this. It's implied in the discussion that if arms had gotten to Ukraine sooner, Russia would have been deterred from invading them. Either way, it doesn't matter to Putin, he made up his mind on this one long ago...

I did get your quote from the thread noted above because it's relevant to this particular thread and it directly refutes what you've stated in this one and the quote from that thread is the one I was referring back to in my response to you. Obviously, you knew that or figured it out for yourself since you've named the title of that thread.

It also looks like Kevin McCarthy forgot about the fact that many members of his OWN PARTY, including such stellar luminaries as Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz, Paul Gossar and others voted AGAINST the aid packages approved by the majority of those voting in both the house and the senate with Marjorie Taylor Greene "explaining" her no vote with the flippant comment that Ukraine is going to lose anyway so why bother?...
