Kevin McCarthy discussed the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office on a call with GOP leadership days after the January 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol following his previously recorded statement that ,"What the President did is atrocious and totally wrong," but said the process "takes too long", as per the audio tape:

McCarthy denied the New York Times reporting that he planned on telling Trump that he should resign in the aftermath of the attack on the capitol. McCarthy called the story, "totally false and wrong." He didn't know that his conversation at the time had been recorded and it's evident he said what he now says he didn't say. In other words, he got caught in a bold-faced lie:

Is that what all powerful congressmen do with thier 23 year old male staffers? I personally don't care what his sexual orientation is. I care that he's a liar, a hypocrite, and it appears he doesn't think gun or motor vehicle laws apply to him. And that voters were duped by this fake conservative.
As with Trump, Marjorie Taylor Greene and others like 'em, the usual and customary response from the cons will be: "We don't them, we just like their policies"!

On the stand in her own defense for three hours, Marjorie Greene amply demonstrated more forgetfulness than Joe Biden ever could. She repeatedly stated she couldn't remember or couldn't recall events unless she was specifically confronted with exhibits that demonstrated otherwise and then, almost magically, her memory reappeared for a brief moment. I liked the one wherein she was asked if she called the WH to talk to the president's staff for discussions involving the events leading up to Jan 6 and, par for the course, "I don't remember." Ah huh, like you wouldn't remember a call to the WH. 
That said, I don't expect the Republican appointed administrative judge to recommend she be referred for removal by the next level up, Brad Raffensperger, for several reasons, but if anybody was shown to be totally full of it in court, it was her...
