Roe Vs Wade Overturned

I think if any judge has a strong bias, then recusal is certainly within the realm of consideration. In the case of abortion and Roe Vs Wade, I think the case is even stronger for recusal for the conservative judges who made their views clear on Roe Vs Wade during their confirmation hearings and, in particular, Clarence Thomas, who has advocated for its overturn before ever hearing the case in the first place.

p.s.  (after skimming Roe)  Not really an edge case.  The Texas criminal law being applied unequally was the law being considered by the Court in Roe.  They could have basically said, "no due process in the application of this TX law, 14th Amendment, case over."  That is not what the Court chose to do however.   They went for the big sweeping change, giving birth to something we fight about now, almost 50 years later.  (sorry for the dark pun...)
And through that fog, I keeping hearing the echoes of "stare decisis" specific to Roe from the conservative judges at their confirmation hearings, you know, the concept that says:
"Stare decisis is a legal doctrine that obligates courts to follow historical cases when making a ruling on a similar case. Stare decisis ensures that cases with similar scenarios and facts are approached in the same way. Simply put, it binds courts to follow legal precedents set by previous decisions.'

Well, since various states are banning a woman's choice before she even knows she's pregnant at six weeks, the court could and likely will leave it up to the inane judgement of a state...

Mental health could cover any situation that the physical health does not.

It works for an entire country-France-  but oh no, ya could always find two physicians available to...
So, in other words, don't even try it.
Excuse me while I go to the bathroom and throw up after reading that...

Jim,
I can't equate some bozo medic writing script for a joint and two MDs writing a medical authorization for a late term abortion. I think the bars a bit higher, a lot higher, for the latter than the former. Whether or not you think Mel's point was "don't even try" it boils down to the same thing, ie why even bother to try because ya always going to find two physicians who are willing to... and yada, yada, yada...

I don't think he should have resigned in the first place for what he did but, as the saying goes, Democrats get rid of their sex offenders while Republicans elect theirs...
