Independent Watchdog: Trump DHS Hid Russian Election Interference

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"Former acting Department of Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf intervened to delay release of an intelligence report flagging Russian involvement in the 2020 election, while other DHS officials sought to “blunt” the focus on the country in the report, according to a government watchdog."

You don't think the perps who pleaded guilty to sedition didn't help plan it? You don't think they're still looking for the guy who planted the pipe bombs? A capitol officer shot the woman in question and was found to have acted appropriately in doing so, whether you or those who promoted or engaged in the insurrection disagree in inconsequential...

As I've stated, the shooting was investigated and the officer exonerated, how does someone who claims to "back the blue" not understand that?

Exactly, but Greg can't understand that a rioter, particularly after ignoring commands to stop, continued with the attempted breach and the capitol officer followed departmental policy in firing. The same thing would have occurred in the Pentagon although it likely would have happened sooner. To give another example, try breaching the fenceline around area 51, you know, the one that has signs on that state, "Stop, Use Of Deadly Force Is Authorized"...

"A regional leader of the far-right Oath Keepers organization has pleaded guilty to sedition and obstruction of an official proceeding in connection with the Jan 6., 2021, Capitol attack." Bragging

I haven't seen any bragging from the US government regarding the killings of Ruskie generals in Ukraine. In fact, I just listened to Blinken stating we do not offer intel specifically targeting Russian officers in Ukraine to the Ukrainians. Intel is shared, and there's no doubt about it, but there's been no gloating about the loss of Ruskie generals in Ukraine that I've seen coming from the Biden administration. I do see the loss being reported by news sources in Ukraine and that's commonly available on youtube but not from the US government. BTW, there's plenty reason for the Ukrainians to tell the world as it boosts the confidence and morale of their troops and their people...

That may be but the US government isn't bragging about it. In fact, the US government is publicly denying it.
Here's a quote from TheHill article:
"During a Pentagon press briefing on Thursday, press secretary John Kirby said that the United States provided “battlefield intelligence to help Ukrainians defend their country.”
“We do not provide intelligence on the location of senior military leaders on the battlefield or participate in the targeting decisions of the Ukrainian military. The Ukrainians have, quite frankly, a lot more information than we do. This is their country, their territory, and they have capable intelligence collection abilities of their own,” he said."

How this equates to "bragging" in Mel's mind defies logical comprehension...

The Hill article I read was a few hours before the one you used. Here is the first couple of paragraphs.

US HAS HELPED UKRAINE TARGET RUSSIAN GENERALS: REPORT

Senior administration officials told the NY TIMES on Wednesday that the US has provided intelligence to Ukraine's armed forces and that it has been used to help kill Russian generals who have died during the country's ongoing war.
While not specifying how many have been killed thanks to US assistance, sources told the Times the information was part of a classified program that aims to help Ukrainians provide real-time intel.  Ukraine maintains that it has killed 12 Russian generals.
The Times reported that Ukraine officials have combined location details from the US plus their own intel to conduct strikes that has helped kill members of the Russian forces.

My reaction to this article is very reasonable. When senior administration officials tell the media what the departments have accomplished they want people to know how well they are doing. It sounds like they are accomplishing their goals.
I also think they should not discuss this. Which is another reasonable position.

Your post was less reasonable than usual.
"Your post was less reasonable than usual."
Lol! Nowhere does anything in the above or elsewhere in your thread equate to the title you came up with to describe a reported disclosure of US intel that the Ukrainians have used to target Russian generals.

The sinking is a great blow to the prestige of the Russian armed forces and especially its naval forces. That's a good thing, Mel! This is a war of aggression perpetrated by Russia. A sinking if a flagship is a major blow to the prestige of a country and there's nothing wrong if anyone says so. Biden has called Putin a war criminal. Do you have a problem with that, too? Or, Do you prefer Trump's praise of Putin, which is it?

Where in the world does TheHill state "Bragging" anywhere? It does no such thing!
Here is the original article from the NYT that TheHILL reported on, note the following quote:
"Officials interviewed for this article spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss details of the classified intelligence being shared with Ukraine."
https://www.nytimes.com/2022/05/04/us/politics/russia-generals-killed-ukraine.htm,
How does speaking on the condition of anonymity constitute bragging?
Here is the article from TheHill entitled, "Pentagon denies US shared intel to target Russian generals" How in the world does that equate in your brain to "bragging"?!
https://thehill.com/policy/defense/3478747-pentagon-denies-us-shared-intel-to-target-russian-generals/
This whole thread is yet another example of how you think you've read or heard something and it's totally bogus on your part.
Finally, here's the link to TheHill story from your post:
https://thehill.com/policy/defense/3477744-us-has-helped-ukraine-target-russian-generals-report/
In it you see this: “The United States provides battlefield intelligence to help Ukraine defend their country,” Kirby said. “We do not provide intelligence on the location of senior military leaders on the battlefield or participate in targeting decisions of the Ukrainian military.”
How the hell do you see that as "bragging"?
