The pro-lifers evidently are THE ones who forget about the "well-regulated"wording of the 2nd amendment of the constitution and don't give a rat's ass about life unless its defined in a woman's womb...

It didn't take Mel long to try and make a mockery out of the "well-regulated" description contained in the constitution, now did it?

Coming proposals from the Republicans: school kids wearing ballistic blankets and backpacks, this from the same right wing parents who cried and screamed that their kids were being psychologically traumatized because they had to wear a mask during a pandemic. Moreover, teachers, which have been demonized and vilified for bogus claims of teaching CRT and/or having books the GOP parents don't like (because they read it from a script from Steve Bannon), are now deemed to have the ultimate authority to arm themselves and engage in a gunfight with a mass shooter armed with an AR15 or similar rifle! The hypocrisy and absurdity of today's Republicans can't be underestimated...

A good read on the AR15 from retired capitol hill police officer Michael Fanone who nearly died in the the violence of January 6th and sold AR15s working in gun stores:

Even on face value, the notion that you need a AR15 to fight a "tyrannical government" is crazy in and of itself but have the lunatics who believe this even considered the firepower of what they would be up against if it were remotely the case? Do they really think their AR15 is going to stand up to a tank? Or prevent the armed forces of the government from laying waste to their entire city or town, not to mention their house? Do they know how much firepower there is in a tomahawk cruise missile? And they think they need an AR15 to protect themselves? Only from today's Republicans...
