The committee has two representatives from the Republican party. Had the GOP leadership agreed to provide open minded members who were themselves not subject to being part of the effort to overturn the election and/or facing requests to appear before the committee or subsequently facing subpoenas if they didn't, there would have been more. Additionally, the GOP leadership favored an independent commision to investigate January 6th as did the Democrats but the same GOP leadership reneged on it. Maybe now Mel will catch on...

The GOP has two reps on the committee when they could have had more IF the other reps they chose were not suspected of participation in the activities they were to investigate. Of course, Mel overlooks that entirely as well as the GOP reneging on appointing an independent commission in the first place. Leave it to Mel to omit the salient points and fixate on whatever he thinks he's trying to say. Talk about a dummy!...
