Does anyone have experience with adjusting the clutches on the CI 700 ?

I love the mount but the clutches....errrr!

First solar image with my PST

My newly purchased PST has me hooked on solar viewing. Before working on my Sunday "to-do" list I thought I would take a look. Much to my suprise the sun was very active today. I thought I would give imaging a try so I set my 300D on a tripod and shot through the eyepiece.

I think I'll try with my 1D Mark II next time. The lack of mirror lock-up on the 300D is a problem. I gave this a try with my ToUcam a few weeks back but the DSLR approach gives me instant gratification.

I'm thinking about a MaxView DSLR unit.
Any suggestions are welcome. smile

Todays clear skies gave me a chance to try my hand at solar imaging. I made one earlier attempt with my ToUcam but failed so I gave it a whirl with the 300D afocally with the camera on a tripod. Challenging...and after a few attempts this is the result. ISO 200 @ 1/125

Any input would be helpful. smile

This Great Horned Owl family has taken up space at a local Osprey nest box. Based on the flight feather growth this family won't be around long sad

I most always have my 500mm attached to my 1D Mark II but I lent it to a friend this weekend so I was using my 70-200 f2.8L

I have forgotten just how well this lens works for close shots.
