Now that's a handsome mutt and you did a good thing. We're out in the sticks and it's somewhat surprising how many folks are taking a ride out to the country to drop off Fido - probably with the hopes that someone will take him in. Doesn't always happen but our big Lab now has two new pals. Hopefully we'll keep it at that.

I don't think its Jesse Jackson's decision to make. On 9/11 the world watched Palestinians literally dance in the street over what had taken place, while Israel's prime Minister proclaimed that "America and Israel stand as one." Israel hasn't always been the perfect ally, but when all is said and done, this country knows who its friends are.

If this is the best you can do; if this is the best that Rush and his fellow talking heads can do; then the Republican party remains in a world of hurt.
There have been more then a few times when the Democrats made fools out of themselves. I am amazed that the Republicans would reduce their image to less than what it already is over something that's, well, just plain meaningless.
From Reagan to this. How they could so completely self destruct in such a short time amazes me.

I don't know the first thing about Nobel prizes, i.e. the criteria for getting one and the award process. If Obama is the most deserving individual, then I feel sorry for a world that has no more Mother Theresa's.
That being said, I would guess that the prize is a celebration of the demise of a foreign policy that was ill conceived, half baked, expensive, and poorly executed.

Look at the mountain of US debt and you know all there is to know about how the story of the buck will end short of some sort of financial miracle. Of course it (the buck) will occasionally be manipulated upward, but the overarching trend is down, down, down. The poo will really start to hit the fan big time when we lose reserve status. For those who couldn't read the handwriting on the wall, it will mark the beginning of the official scramble NOT to be the biggest bag holder in recorded history. IMO it'll happen sooner rather than later. The only thing I find so amazing is that we still have so much going for us!

That mount is terrific, and your friend should be selling them. I've been looking for a mount, or an adapter to which a mount could be attached that would lend itself to a QuickSet Hercules for a long time.

Great question. Strident atheists, strident christians, strident whatever, they're all so damn positive that they're right, Even worse, they all seem determine to convert anyone not in their camp. They deserve one another. Rather than foster discussion, they manage to kill it. That goes for all of them.
Somehow the concept of live and let live seems to beyond their grasp. And we wonder why the middle east is a mess.
