Dan,
That is one awesome image! 9 hours! and I'll bet the processing was a chore of love. I have not yet attempted to align images taken on different
dates but I understand what you mean about the various rotations of the sky. I bet it takes a bit of practice to get it down to looking like this image. It is just awesome!

Humble M51 & M78 pics

Ivan, those are really unbelievable, taken AZ-Alt without guiding but I guess there is a bit of combining many images involved. But well worth it!

M45, The Pleades

This one was shot thru my TOA-150 at F/7.3 with a ST10xme. It consists of
L=60m, R=15, G=15, B=15 min. There is some gradiant that I can't get rid of. Also, there are several motes (donuts) in the image so I must have some dust in the optical train. I did't notice them in the previous image, kind of strange. Thanks for any help, Tom

Leo's Triplet last night

Thanks Bill, Dietmar! I'm still having trouble with the color channels due to gradient from some vignetting caused by the reducer. But I have to use the reducer to fit everything into the frame. I am working on flats to try to help correct each channel, we will see! Thanks again, Tom

M3

Hi Jason,
I think that it is an excellent image of M3, just awesome. I don't think that it is over sharpened at all for a Globular cluster. It looks perfect.
