I do think considering the amount of exposure time involved in this image it might be worth the time to revisit it in photoshop. I am sure there is more data here. I am also sure that processing a mosaic introduces some interesting problems matching levels of the individual images making it quite a challenge. Looking forward to mosaic myself however I can not say this from experience.

Was the Lum channel also binned?

Hi Anjal

I have modified both the older Tak controller and the Vixen GP to work with the Sbig relay box

It is very simple. The schematic for the box is on the Sbig site. Anyone who has the knowledge to read the schematic and basic soldering skills can perform the modification.

In a nutshell you are just using the relay to close the switch on the hand controller

The hardest part for the Tak was fishing the additional wire into the hand paddle. I did not want to damage or alter the controller so I un-soldered the stock wire and then ran both the stock wire and the new wire back through the strain relief together, re-soldered both and was good to go. A little soap was needed to get them through.

I never experienced any problems with either set up but do recommend double checking everything do to the availability of replacement parts for older Taks.

8) The Hubble is up and running. With the current War in Iraq, :S funding for other projects such as "a new space telescope" or a "new space shuttle program" to put anything up are most likely on the back burner. The Hubble is in my option a testament to human achievement. It should be maintained.

The ISS was a great concept. When we can all play in the sand box it will work. 8)

Unless I missed something the repairs required now and for the next ten years are replacement gyros,(last count we had 3 up of I believe 10) energy cells and some minor upgrades. A major issues is regarding re-entry if we loose more gyros and I think they are considering an ocean splash as a result of this.

The real problem is with the lawyers and NASA.
These poeple need to drive in NJ to see how safe space flight really is. 8) It wouldn't surprise me if there isn't one Shuttle crew member who wouldn't go up next month in an Unmodified shuttle.

I believe the source included the Gemini, Mercury, and Apollo space programs in which case that is correct.
Any exploration humanity has attempted has been dangerous.

I think there is more to the Shuttle grounding then the public is being told.
