Hi Steve,

While i cant comment on achro to apo, i can tell you there is a differenece from one achro to another. My ST-4 autoguider guides much more consistently since i switched from a Synta 80mm f/11 to a Stellarvue SV80/9D. The 80/9d is a mechanically and optically superior scope.

Thats excellent. I knew that 5x powermate was a great piece. I have to get one! Not that i dont enjoy the challenge of imaging planets with a 4" apo, but i sure do miss my old C9.25.

New image looks great Don. I'll have to try that extened add/2 thing. My Sword of Orion project has left me flat too. Its not for a lack of trying though.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Not to beat a dead horse, but i did have another go at color balanceing my image before i put together an HTML page for my website. I think i've got it right where i want it now.

Very nice widefield image Don. These galaxies would be more photogenic for you and I if we had more focal length.
