According To The People Who Make The Call, We're Not In A RecessionPosted By Rod Kaufman |

Well, here's a clue for you, Inflation IS a tax, its the worst kind of tax because you can't deduct the costs of your groceries on your Federal or state taxes. At least I've never been able to do so, have you?
I would bet that you don't deduct your mileage to offset the massive gas costs. I can as a business, but my guess is that 90% or more of families don't do that either since they work in offices, manufacturing plants, etc.
Do you deduct your mileage costs?
As a chiropractor my guess is that you don't.
Recently I have changed my business outline so that I'm not traveling far to customer's homes, out of town. But even as I only travel around the city mostly, I still have seen an increase in my fuel costs per month that amount to just about $100 extra, after tax dollars that I'm putting down my tank. That's $1200 per year extra for my gasoline costs.
Now then, I'm one single guy feeding himself and occasionally if I have friends over for dinner. My grocery bill has gone up by about $100-$125 per month, and I shop, looking for the sales all the time.
And yet, I'm still spending more than $100 extra on just the regular food items I purchase. I don't buy cookies, or candy, or other wasteful food items.
So just for me, in the 2 areas that have been caused by Biden's reckless spending through the roof, I'm outlaying another $2400-$3000 per year, and that doesn't include my lumber costs which your linked article spoke about that covered costs of homebuilding. It didn't mention one iota, any other types of lumber, specialty plywoods, and other costs.
And my costs for other fuels, heating my home and electricity, those have gone up as well.
Now for a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children which makes up the vast majority of families in this nation, the costs for fuel and for groceries alone are straddling them with most likely $4000 or MORE after tax dollars.
The Bureau of Labor and statistics says flat out that increases in pay haven't come close to keeping with increased costs of life due to inflation.
So when you ignore inflation as if it isn't a tax on every single American and every single family in this country, that just exposes how amazingly ignorant you truly are.
And the Inflation reduction act will not reduce inflation at all.

LOL! So now Jonathan Turley is an economics genius, too?!!! You ought write in his name on your next presidential ballot!
Now, let's look at the revised CBO estimate, made after Turley couldn't wait for the dust to settle before the act was modified:
"The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 (H.R. 5376) would cut federal spending by $14.5 billion and raise $87 billion in revenue, reducing government deficits by nearly $102 billion over 10 years, the Congressional Budget Office estimated after reviewing the pending legislation."
