Anyways, I am going to list a couple of extra pedals I don't need on craigslist to build up the gear funds. I have a Boss TU-2 tuner that is redundant so I took it downstairs to test it to make sure it still works correctly before I listed it. On my way down I had an idea, a real light bulb moment. I have a brace the OT made me that really didn't work and they made me a second one. I didn't like the way the first one felt due to a strap across the last knuckle of my fingers. I put it on for the first time since then and didn't us the finger straps. The seemingly fruitless effort so far that I've been putting in with my therapy strengthening them paid off and I could now move all of my fingers freely and the brace held them at a downward angle so I could extend the ring finger making it possible to play chords. The little finger is still basically useless, but I was able to play a lot more than I could without the brace. This should be good, fun, and I emphasize fun way of doing some different exercise for it, too. I'm pretty happy right now.
And on a different subject I got out observing last night for the first time since last fall. I washed my mirror and everything. telescope and all electronics worked flawlessly. All I needed to do was know the M or NGC numbers and the scope drove right to them. Saw the comet above Scorpius, too.
Glad to know you got in some eyepiece time. iI was up obsering up at Mt Pinos earlier in the week with some good views in my 16". It's a good thing I did it then because some high cloudiness with humid air and a lot of haze shutout new moon weekend now for a lot of observers and imagers in SoCal.
I'm sure you know it'll take a lot of time before an injury as severe as yours eventually heals. I'm guessing you've had the usual therapy-putty exercises along with paraffin baths and the like. Have they upped the color on your theraputty for progressive increases in your resistive exercises or is it too early?
