Hi all,

I processed one of my Saturn image sets, I have a few more but I thought I'd post this to graphically show (as others have) how tight the rings are. Shot with the Mewlon 250 at F/32 on Nov 1 morning. I'm not totally happy with the colour, but I'll work on it.

Hi all,

Here is an image I made of AR11007 this morning. Interesting detail in H-a, but the seeing wasn't good enough for higher focal length images.

Titan Transits

Hi all,

My first "official" Saturn of the current season. Seeing was not great and Saturn was only 30 degrees up. Also, there was a nice alignment of the moons captured.

Dione's shadow on Saturn

Hi all,

For those adventurous folks who'd like to try a difficult observation, Dione's (according to Starry Night) shadow will be on Saturn's disk from about 11UT to 14UT on the morning of December 4.

I plan to try (weather permitting).

To build a barlow?

Hi all,

I am wondering if there is a reputable company that will turn an unmounted lens into a mounted barlow? I know the lens I want, but my mechanical ability is very lacking to make a precision system out of it.
