What the Democrats did in that instance was reprehensible and there's no excuse for it. It's politics at its worst in a local election but nowhere near the level of the events of Jan 6th so it's not quite the nuclear meltdown moment you make it out to be...

WTF?! If you said 85-90% of what Trump says is incessantly lies you would have at least been truthful and accurate but you're so far gone in the right wing swamp your world is upside down and backwards and in opposition to the truth.

Do you think the Democrats would have employed the same strategy if Trump wasn't promoting the big lie of election fraud and backing up only those who do likewise?
No, of course not, they'd be going toe to toe on germaine issues like the economy, domestic and or foreign policy and basic, staple issues in their states or communities.
That's what happens in normal times but what we have now with Trump is anything but normal. It's clear to me the Democratic strategy here is essentially that found in the art of war: using an enemy's strength (the big lie of election fraud accepted by a base) and turning that into a weakness as its exposed and withered to the majority of the voting force. 
Again, I'm not a fan of this strategy and I don't want to see it deployed but that's what's going on here...

Talking about despicable tactics, you need look no further than the GOP senators jumping on the Trump bandwagon by eching his latest insane conspiracy theory that the FBI "planted evidence " at Mira Lago. Same deal on Fox and Friends after they repeated Trump's baseless claim: "I saw them on video go in with backpacks but what was in those backpacks?"... Millions of people eat that crap up. It's one thing for Fox to do it, which is bad enough, but when you got the GOP reps and senators doing it, it far outpaces what the DNC has done in a local election which, of course, is despicable in its own right... 

On the other hand, Democrats in Wyoming and being encouraged to vote for Liz Cheney in the open primary to fend off the Trump wacko who will likely win. There aren't enough Democrats in Wyoming to make a difference and most of the Republicans there are as far gone as those who show up at Trump rallies...

If this excitable prosecutor who has Trump in her head 24/7 thinks she can prove something let her do it. 

Otherwise, Trump needs to get on with his campaign and his goal of getting rid of as many RINOs as he can in the party. 

The corrupt Feds will do what they do, and their isn't anything that Repubs can do when the DOJ has selective prosecutions and harassment of Repubs.
