Let's make those who DIDN'T go to college PAY the tuition of the well off who did. Dictator Joe UPDATED!

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"The White House on Thursday called out Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-Ga.) criticism of President Biden’s plan to forgive some student loans, noting that the congresswoman had Paycheck Protection Program loans forgiven."
"The White House Twitter account has created a thread below its response to Greene’s criticism, with similar responses to other Congressional critics of the student loan debt announcement. The congressmen whose PPP loan amounts were revealed include Reps. Vern Buchanan (R-Fla.), Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.), Kevin Hern (R-Okla.), Mike Kelly (R-Pa.) and Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.)."

Excellent Idea: Floating Abortion Clinics!

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Another excellent idea!
"New Mexico plans to build a new abortion clinic near the Texas border, anticipating that more abortion seekers from surrounding states where the procedure is banned will travel there for care."

Excellent Idea: Floating Abortion Clinics!

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"It's a nonprofit organization, dedicated to creating and running a floating health clinic that will eventually anchor in federal waters off the Gulf Coast -- circumventing restrictive state laws by providing "reproductive health and wellness services, including contraception and surgical abortion," for free, in federal waters."
"The idea came from casino boats that float on the Mississippi River. Autry, originally from the South, was already familiar with the paddle steamers that circumvented state gambling regulations by staying on the water."

Fed Chair Jerome Powell's Comments At Jackson Hole

Posted By Rod Kaufman

“Investors are coming to terms with the idea that the Fed is serious about curbing inflation, even as recent data suggests inflation is starting to decline,” said Rod von Lipsey, managing director at UBS Private Wealth Management."
“In an environment where the Fed has been clear that they will sacrifice the economy (to what extent, still unknown) to squash inflation, that stance no longer makes sense and bad economic news just increases the chance of recession which decreases earnings potential without the possibility of a Fed backstop,” he added. ” Said another way, the ‘Fed put’ is currently dead.”

P.S..  All of this record setting inflation?   Its Donald Trump's fault
I see the point(s) of my posts are entirely lost on you. No surprises there. Inflation is already on a downward trend. No thanks to Powell who misjudged it as temporary supply line issues during covid. Now he's overcompensating by raising interest rates way too aggressively. That's killing the markets and the 401ks that half of the population, ie the productive half, of the country have in the form of their retirement savings. Not to mention that fact that the interest rate hikes will drive the country into significant recession. Powell's ineptitude is killing the economy and he was Trump's "The Pick" for Fed chair.   Those are the points and not the inflation reduction act that you want it to be and the act will lower the amount of inflation and likely more so than the modest reduction that the CBO estimates...

I didn't see Joe Biden remove him.  Why is that?

Ahh.... seems like its Joe Biden's fault as far as I can tell, and all of his reckless insane spending, along with another round culminating in this nonsense of socializing the student loan debt to place it on the backs of others who didn't take out those loans.

What's the matter?  You seem angry.  Is your stock market not doing so well and you're in a pissy mood, since you're now losing all the gains you made, Mr. clapping seal?

Yeah that inflation starting at 1.5% when Trump left office in January and now up to 8.5%, 9.1% had nothing to do with the reckless spending of Joe Biden.

Now, virtually everyone on the right side of the political aisle predicted exactly what would happen with Biden's insane, reckless spending, and it came true, but hey it was just luck and it really has nothing to do with the insane, reckless spending of this admninistration.

Yes, yes, keep clapping those flippers together and blaming the man in the moon.

https://idose.org/biden-should-fire-fed-chair-jerome-powell/

Now, after knowing that you read the link above (NOT), I'll ask again, why isn't Joe Biden firing Jerome Powell?

Biden has kept him in place for 18 months now.  I think this is on Biden.

Err... NO, I know this is all on Biden, but you can't stop clapping your flippers for even 10 seconds and look to your Hero Democrats and blame them.

Of course you never will.
I think it should be obvious that I think Biden should fire Powell. His record certainly deserves it. At least Yellen acknowledged she was wrong about inflation being temporary while there was still an opportunity to quell it at the time but Powell was calling the shots and still is. Most of the inflation rise is not due to Biden and the BS GOP argument of "reckless spending" that was never heard when Trump was signing his name to covid relief checks. Additionally, I don't see Powell or the Fed blaming inflation on either Trump or Biden's spending plans, do you?...

I won't waste anymore time trying to educate a clapping Seal about Brain Surgery, because the clapping Seal will never learn a thing, it'll just keep on clapping.
After reading your comments, there's no mystery as to who the lunatic is and it's not Biden. Here, according to the Business Insider, are the principal causes of inflation:

Like the fed, I don't see Biden's policies among them...

Increased money supply is defined as the total amount of money in circulation, which includes cash, coins, and balances and bank accounts according to the Federal Reserve. If the money supply increases faster than the rate of production, this could result in inflation, particularly demand-pull inflation because there will be too many dollars chasing too few products. An increase in money supply is usually created by the Federal Reserve through a process called Open Market Operations (OMO).

Its getting to be like shooting fish in a barrel when it comes to you.

That's not Biden's plan...

All excellent points. Don't expect Rich to deal with any of 'em.
That said, I'd expect Powell to recognize the problems and respond sooner since that's his job. He failed to do so and doesn't deserve another term as Fed chair. Now, we'll deal with the aftermath of increasing interest rates, job losses and a recession in the USA...
