This has got to to be the best scene from the movie, "Shooter". (Don't watch if some salty language offends.)

An awesome video of the Israeli arrow anti-ballistic missile taking out an incoming ballistic missile off the coast of California:

A young Saudi Arabian student studied to pass examinations to gain a visa from his native country in order to obtain entry into America. His goal from day one: Jihad.
If you consider the time, effort and discipline involved in the endeavor, you begin to develop an appreciation of the depth of depravity associated with the mission.
Fortunately, according to the interviews of the personnel, at least one clerk at one chemical company and a staff member at another had the good sense to alert the authorities to the possibility of a terrorist activity. I would have preferred the FBI to have flagged ANY chemical sales on an ongoing basis that involve the ingredients for the explosives in question, and I'm not pleased to know it took a clerk to raise an alarm instead of those who should know better.

Oil prices dropped 33% when Bush Sr tapped the SPR during the Gulf war in '91. They dropped 19% when Clinton tapped it in 2000 and 9% when Bush tapped it after Katrina.
With the economy as fragile as it is, and with Republicans clamoring for budget cuts that could further slow the recovery, now is the time for Obama to get off his butt and act before we have another recession on our hands.

One of the Brits most popular websites for their "news". You can read one of the latest articles in the link. It's a real piece of work. I suppose the author hasn't heard of Lara Logan, either. One of my comments to the article is listed further in the link:

The first battlefield deployment of an anti-tank missile defense system became operational today when the IDF's Trophy unit detected and destroyed an incoming anti-tank missile.
Israel already has what might be described as the best tanks in the world and they probably out-perform the American Abrams M1 A2 main battle tank. But even the formidable Merkava (chariot) main battle tank has been vulnerable to the Russian Kornet which is likely the most lethal ant-tank weapon in the world. A Kornet missile scored a direct hit on a Merkava a few months ago in the Gaza and it managed to penetrate the hull and its classified armor. Fortunately, the Merkava represents a radical evolution in tank design in that it puts the engine and transmission in the front of the tank, ahead of its crew. The trophy system reportedly has a 100% success rate in stopping any known ant-tank projectile, including RPGs. I see from the article, the US is studying the system although it has another in development.

I heard on the news tonight the Garmin is concerned about the impact 40,000 lightsquared towers will have on GPS units, not only theirs but their competitors as well as the airforce:

I wonder what lightsquared would go to the GPS units installed in telescopes. I think it's a safe bet they would be jammed as well...
