I do have to state, in addition to the prior post by Jim, that the overall membership and participation in AM in general is something I'd like to see improved like it was in years past. I gotta say I'll never forget the time there was an amatur up at Mt Pinos who arrived with a large RV and at least two expensive refractors, probably a TEC and an AP, along with imaging cameras and computers, and when asked by another amateur why he doesn't post on the AM, his response was "FIFTEEN DOLLARS!" with his eyes bugging out of his head. I couldn't believe it! The guy could obviously afford it given his rig and his gear but 15 bucks was a bridge too far! Equally annoying are some of those trolls with goofball names on the CN forums that can drive anybody nuts if you take 'em half way seriously and some do. I think that's where at least the 15-20% of those that get rejected by Herb in attempting to join AM wind up on and probably more because their names don't match up with their cards or their email addresses may be bogus or a combination thereof and then they post and whine about it on CN and wonder why they were rejected...

I wouldn't say that I enjoy it. I don't suspect others do either and my guess is that it's more of a curiosity or an annoyance than much else since I doubt anybody here is a sadomasochist although I could be wrong about it. On the other hand, I think one has to wonder what paraphernalia Rich keeps in his residence of his mom's basement...

Maybe Rich can persuade John Durham and the house GOP to investigate this too with another investigation especially when Durham's present probe that Rich jumped up and down like a clapping seal turned up nothing:
