Precisely. If it doesn't fit their preconceived notions, then it must be wrong and Trump is a victim because of some mis-statement on the astromart. Of course, we all know it's really the fault of George Soros and Alvin Bragg being in cahoots with one another. The members of a grand just composed members of the public that voted unanimously on 30 plus counts had nothing to do with it. Not to mention that fact that the GOP outrage machine has called the judicial process an "abomination" among other things without even seeing the counts beforehand...

Alvin Bragg responds to house GOP MAGA insanity. Read his letter:

“It is old news from early 2018 before I came forward. I think it’s HYSTERICAL that tiny is trying to spin this as some kind of new information,” she wrote, with “tiny” being a derogatory reference to Trump."

Trump's latest polling:
"A Yahoo News-YouGov poll taken after the grand jury approved the indictment against Trump found the former president holding a 31-point lead over his next closest potential GOP rival, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, with 52 percent of the vote. DeSantis came in second with 21 percent, followed by former Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley with 5 percent and former Vice President Mike Pence with 3 percent."

So it's all a big conspiracy by a politically motivated grand jury? They're all in on it?

Also, you may want to refresh your memory on the Whitewater investigation since if there was ever a "fishing expedition," that was it. Yet at the time, and even now, I'm sure, right-wingers defend and justify that investigation that only uncovered Bill's affair with Lewinsky, which, of course, had bupkiss to do with Whitewater.
Of course, the  Hillary "lock her up" echo from Trump rallies can still be heard now and louder than ever since these same Trump supporters wanted Clinton jailed for her emails without any due process but now that we've had a formal legal process charging an indictment against their leader, it's all "political"...

That implies the grand jury is biased but there's no indication of that so, yes, we do know that this is not a politically motivated prosecution.

My guess, my prediction is that Trump will cave before trial and plea to a misdemeanor.   I'll be surprised if this goes to trial and Trump loses.  I'll be surprised if this is a slam dunk win by Trump because Bragg has no case.

The only thing I'm sure of is that the process is working according to design.  Trump will get his due process.  Bragg will prove his case, or he will indeed suffer a career ending embarrassment.
Well, we agree to disagree on most of the above comments. Of interest is the former DA, Cyrus Vance, now stating he was told to "stand down" by the Trump DOJ in the same case...
