I haven't found any info on AM about University Optics primary/secondary newtonian mirrors (Master Optician Series). Has anybody here used one before? Where are they made? How do they rate?

I've read through some previous posts about prism vs mirror digonals, but I'm going to ask again for my specific situation. I need a 1.25 diagonal for my six inch Intes(Orion) maksutov (f12)and my 8 inch Meade SCT (f10). I am considering either a University Optics 1.25 regular prism diagonal ($42) or the Intes mirror ($100). Since these are slower scopes would the prism be a good choice? I like the thought of being able to clean the prism diagonal more often than the mirror. Are the UO prisms significantly better than the stock cheapos that come with most scopes? Misc question: I'm not considering the 'correct-image' prism, but does the regular prism have the same number of elements as the 'correct-image' diagaonal. Any advice or insight along these lines would be appreciated.

Also, the high-end diagonals ($150+) are out of the question so I really don't care how much better they are. Also... two inch diagonals are out of the question becuase I already have one and the Intes won't focus 1.25 EP's with it and I'm trying to keep the weight balanced on the SCT.

I've checked all of my usual links but haven't found anyplace to buy a saddle/dovetail to mount my 8" Meade SCT to my Orion Astroview Pro mount. Does anyone know where I can get one?

I had the same thought several months ago. I bought a cheap 4.5 inch mirror that I was going to make a 'collapsible' mini-truss-dob out of. I have yet to finish the project, but I'll post any results as they come in.

I purchased the WO 2" diagonal over a year ago and it would not fit inside of my Intes mk67 without getting stuck. I also have the UO MK70 but never got a chance to use it in the diagonal.

I have the Orion version, purchased about two years ago, and my 1.25 EPs will NOT come to focus in a 2" diagonal. Needs more in-focus.
