I know how everyone raves about Nagler, but I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has had an opportunity to compare a wide-angle Nagler with the Antares swa (82 degree), before I spend my cat's lunch money on one or the other. I'm interested in hearing from people with PERSONAL HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE regarding a comparison of the two (in the 7-11 mm range), and NOT information garnered from hearsay or online...Thanks for your help, Wayne Douglas

I was wondering if anyone might be able to tell me if a rainbow effect on the mirror means it's time for re-coating.This looks similar to an oil slick on water..The mirror is a 16" Meade from the 1980's..Other than this discoloration (which is only visible from an angle), the coating seems fine, with no holes or peeling..Also, could anyone tell me how I can determine the mirror's wave myself...Finally, what would it cost to have this mirror re-coated, and what additional cost for re-configuring if needed?..A lot of questions, I know, but I'd greatly appreciate any assistance or suggestions...Thanks, Wayne Douglas

I have a very cruddy old Tasco 60mm refractor, perhaps from the '50's(?), and the lens on it states "Danohyka". The serial number on the Tasco label is 21032, and I did find "Made In Japan" stamped on the bottom of the focuser. Has anyone else ever heard of or seen a "Danohyka" lens, or am I just having one of my usual hallucinations?
