Hi again

Posted By Benoit Trudeau

Just want to let you guys know that my most recent discovery as per slide film goes is the Kodak E100SW push process two stops. Color saturation at it's best, minimal reciprocity failure and the resolution of 100 ISO film.
I know some of you have access to very dark skies meaning that E6 may not be available at your 1H photo lab but it really worth the wait of sending the film out for processing. I`ve been shooting it with my FSQ-106N at F/5 and F/8 and also with my Canon 200 USDM F/1.8. The results are simply amazing!!! Try 45 min @ F/5 and push 2 stop. You wont be dissapointed. I am working on the scans and i sure will post some results soon.

Thanks
Astroben

Orion

Previous post were talking about film over CCD. I personally prefer (for now) working with film. Gimme a chip the size of the Pentax and i'll see.
Taken from New Mexico with my Tak FSQ-106N with Pentax 6X7

90 min @ F/5 E-200 push 2 stop no Photoshop...yet!

Hi Robert

I also think that the lens in your OAG is on backwards. Been there...done that...

First pic of Saturn

Rick

1st: Make sure you use the mirror lock up and use the "Hat trick method"
2nd: The shorter the exposure, the better chance to have a "hole" in the turbulence = better image (exp.usually 1 sec.)
Third: Saturn high at sunset is a very difficult target to shoot as any planets.
Try 4 a.m. throught haze and fog (typical northeast)and no wind.
Make sure you post the masterpieces.

6 x 7 camera

To me, the vignetting and the curved film plane are bigger issues with the 6x7 than the film flattening. There are not many scopes out there that will take the full frame of a 6x7. I use a FSQ-106 @ f/5 with my Pentax 67 and it is amazing...why use a vaccum back on a curved film plane like most of the scopes deliver??? The film plane of a 10 SCT for example has a radius of 6 inch...a basketball! So even with field flatteners, most scopes have curved film planes.

My 2 cents
