Lost in a nebula, apparently.Posted By richard mclaughlin |
How about making support more accessible and more intuitive? My problem started years ago, when I sold my Celestron 14 on the Astromart classifieds. After that a series of back injuries pretty much ended my ability to lug large dobsonians around, but I had already purchased a 14 inch primary mirror from Astro Physics for a planned lighter weight Dobsonian which, of course, was permanently shelved.
So, I've had this 14 inch mirror in my closet for well over a decade, and I finally decided it was time to get it to someone who could still appreciate it. since none of my kids or friends are into astronomy. My problems started when I realized that I'd have to re-register. I tried to register with my old user name, but the registration process wanted the email address associated with the name, and that internet provider no longer exists. I registered with a new user name and password but neglected to write down the user name and now I can't log in or even change the name because I keep getting messages that "credentials" do not match. I found the support address (I thought) but I get a message saying that the page I want is lost somewhere in a nebula.
I'm not even sure how I got onto this forum, because I just started clicking options in frustration.
How does one get to talk to support? There must be a simple solution, since I cannot believe this issue has never come up before, but I sure as heck can't find it.
Please, any ideas?
