Dear Casey,

I have an Orion XT12i, the object locator and Starry Night on my laptop. In order to connect the laptop to the scope you will need the object locator. There are no provisions to directly connect the laptop to the setting circles on the scope. The connection between the laptop and the object locator requires an RS232 cable Orion also sells. I hope that answers your question.
