A friend has a 90mm f/11 (1000mm) Meade spotting scope (CAT) cicra 1990. The OTA is white. Can anyone tell me what the model number is? He wants me to help him sell it on astromart.

I have a Pentax 10.5 XL. It has a 1.25" barrel, but the main body is larger. I had always assumed it was 2", although I never measured it or tried to use in a 2" focuser. Last night I visited a friend with a 22" DOB and discovered the main body is definitely NOT 2"!! It's more like 1.75"

WHY would Pentax design the eyepiece like that??

(OK, I know that's a rhetorical question, but I needed to vent!)

I'm not sure if it matters, but I should have mentioned this scope is a CAT. There's no model number on the scope... just the diameter and focal length.
