Did anyone on Saturday (specifically on the Fox News Channel) see the occasional broadcasts of a video clip of the shuttle (one of the many) which briefly showed a very close up view of the shuttle which showed detail none of the other videos had shown... including what appeared unmistakably to me... to be the bottom of the fuselage in an orientation with the back end towards the camera and the vertical stabilizer missing... this was an incredible, and brief (perhaps 3 seconds before the camera zoomed out) view of the shuttle very obviously moving in with a sideways attitude. I was stunned that no one was commenting on it. I am unable to find anyone who witnessed this brief clip which was periodically aired among the other clips. Anyone witness this besides me???

I have finally found some time to bring the Cave Astrola Owners/Enthusists Exchange discussion forum back up (and updated my email for photo/information submissions as well!).

I apologize for the extended absence to all those who supported it so well. My life (I sure hate when that interrupts everything!) necessitated the site (and a few dozen other hobby related sites I host) go unmaintained for a while.

It's been a number of years since I attended the Great Plains Star Parties. I understand since then, this star party has gone away (or has it?) and IC Stars has become the primary gathering for folks in the ASKC region?

Anyone on the forum going? Thoughts? I thought the skies of 'Scopeville' were pretty decent... how does this new location measure up? Is there still a 'Meteor Shower' ? (even a COLD shower beats slumming it for 2-3 days)

Oh my... I just happened to come across (still on CBS as I type, in my CST time zone) this religious television show called Coral Ridge Ministries. They're doing a piece linking Darwinism to everything from Hitler and Columbine. They're also offering FREE copies of some book: Evolution's Fatal Fruit. God, save me from your followers! Between our increasing social paranoia and the exporting of our nation's wealth, I suspect we're going to be a third world nation within a generation.

When I saw this thread category, I scratched my head initially. But I guess that first thread tied in to the overall theme fairly well.

So, I'd like to keep it going. I just posted these on the Obsession forum. I think I found the perfect vehicle for the 18", wheel barrel handle ported Dobsonian (at least if it's close to Kriege dimensions). It's flat leading across the tail gate into the rear end, 6" wide ramps fit perfectly next to the air vents underneath the front seats, the wheel barrel handles fit with an inch to spare. Anyway, anyone considering an 18" Obsession, the Honda Element fits it like a glove! And it gets good mileage, is a low emission vehicle, and very reliable to boot!
