How good are they? Orion Stratus

Posted By Mario Leal
Hi,
I am in the market for some new eyepieces and Orion's Stratus Wide Field line caught my eye. Anyone using them? Comments?

10" DOB or 8" SCT

Posted By Mario Leal
Let me start out by saying that I love my 10" dob. It taught me alot about the sky and forced me to learn instead of letting the computer find it for me. I feel I am a better astronomer for that.

But, my dob can be a bit tough to take out to the field. So, I am a firm believer that you should get the scope that makes it easier for you to get to the field. If you don't, your scope will find more time to gather dust than gather light.

I hope you have fun with it...gotta keep that buyer's remorse away wink

Good luck.
