I can't seem to get the ClearSky block images. Also, a number of links on the ClearSky web page don't seem to work. Anyone else having problems, or do I have a browser problem?

I am considering adding this eyepiece to my setup, but have heard some negative comments. Specifically, when this eyepiece is used with the C14 there is noticable comma. Has anyone experienced this with the C14 or other scopes?

Collimation With Web-Cam or CCD

Has anyone tried to collimate a SCT by using the out-of-focus image of a star from a CCD or web-cam image? I think that at f10 the image produced is about equivalent to a 10mm eyepiece which should be OK for collimation. You could actually measure the image to check the concentricity of the difraction rings.

M81 First Light With ST-10XE

Finally got a clear night 5/12 to try out the ST-10XE. The image is LRGB 15x1, binned 2x2. One hour total exposure time with a C14 working at f7.

Another M13!

I was trying to image M13 with an f3.3 focal reducer. The setup is C14+.33 reducer+CFW8A+ST-10XE. Processing was in MaxImDl, CCDSharp and Photoshop.

The .33 reducer in this setup actually produces a working f ratio of around f4.5. I would probably need a 15mm spacer to actuall get f3.3. Even at f4.5 I get lots of distortion in the corners. The shot was LRGB 15-15-15-25.

Are there any good 3.3 reducers out there that cover the ST-10 chip in an f10 setup?

NGC7331 Deer Lick Group

This is my first attempt at NGC7331. Deffinately needs more data. Also, tried out a new flat field box I built. That seems to work ok.

C14 at f5.2
ST10XE
LRGB, 30-20-15-25. L binned 2x2, RGB binned 3x3
