I have what may be an old model Meade field tripod. I got it with my LX2 2080 SCT in 1985. I've provided a link to a picture of it below... sorry if this is a FAQ!
* My questions are... is this an old model or does it correspond to a modern tripod? Sorry, I'm not familiar with the current tripod lineup.
* would it be possible to mount another equitorial head on here, has anyone already solved this problem? Maybe there is something already available. The top is a just flat with the big screw sticking out.
* Does anyone know how the equatorial head on the LXD55 mount attaches? (you can see where I'm going on this, ditch the LXD55 tripod and use this one).
