Mystery Scope

Posted By Philipp Salzgeber

Hi!

I came across a scope which I could not identify, I was told it is a 125mm f/10 Cassegrain sold by Tasco, but it is not labelled with any brand. I was also told it has a 1.5x (or 2.0x) corrector/converter in the drawtube. I do not know if it is f/10 with or without the converter. If anybody has an idea who produced this scope I would be very interested to hear!

with best regards

Where can I find rings for a 200mm diameter tube ?

Posted By Philipp Salzgeber

Hi,

I found my 200m rings in a hardware store specialized in plumbing equipment. They are quite heavy, but very stable too. There were also inserts available to reduce the quite big threads to 10mm width...

They were quite cheap, about 20 Euros for the rings and thread inserts.

with best regards

Philipp
