Collimation

Posted By Rick Bartolomeo

Hope I spelled it right. I just got a set of bobs knobs that I am getting ready to install on my LX200 GPS 10" and I have never done a collimation before. When I collimate the scope tonight should I use the most powerful lens? I have a 9.7mm, 20mm, and a 40mm. Does it matter which one I use to do it? Your thoughts and comments are greatly appreciated.

I am taking my LX200 GPS 10" to Dr. Clay in April to get it super charged. Anyone else have this done? Did you notice a big difference with your scope. Please give me some input. Thanks.

Scanner question

Posted By Rick Bartolomeo

OK i am taking pics with an olympus OM-1 and I am getting some decent pics. The question I have is I am looking for a good scanner that i can use to scan my 35mm photos and a software program that i can use to inhance the photos on my computer. If anyone has ideas for a good scanner ( specifications) and a good software program that is relatively easy to use and understand please give me your inputs. Thanks

Anyone use Siebert 2" eye pieces? How do they compare to other 2" eyepieces? I am looking possibly getting some of these. The price doesn't seem that bad.

Has anyone used one of these? Are they a decent ccd camera to start with and can you get some good pictures with it? The price seems real good.
