Hey guys. I was talking to a buddy of mine on the phone and we were talking about how meade mirrors might be taken off the market from being sold seperately from the scopes. I read on Night Sky scopes web page this "may" be happening. But my buddy brought up a comment of how he heard that Meade was thinking of starting their own truss tube line made of carbon composites and this could be the reason for their mirrors getting taken off the market. Have you guys heard anything about this....

hey guys.. I just bought me a pair of 15x60mm binos and a tripod and I was wondering what ideas you guys have on mounting my Rigel quickfinder onto them. I am not looking for something permanent, just something to make it stay for the night. I use duct tape on my Dob for temporary use. I was thinking maybe a couple rubber bands that would fit tight over it maybe?

Any suggestions?

I just saw Orion now has a 10" newt on an EQ-6 for only $1299. This seems pretty darn cheap to me, and quite a good deal if the OTA is as good as the relatively good XT10s out there.

I do not know if I have gotten this virus but I too have recieved about 6 emails from people that I have no idea who they with some pretty odd subjects. They all have attachments, but I have never opened them, I wonder if there are a virus? I just delete them all when I get them?

Hello.

I am fairly new to astronomy as well. I have had my 10inch Orion dob for about a year and a half and love it. I would think that the 10 inches would last you for a while with the deep sky objects and for planets and the moon maybe something like a used Intes mk67 on a CG-5 mount might be able to fit right into your price range.

That is just a thought
