M27 with the 10D and 16

Posted By Greg Sellek

While it's no 20" RC, the 16" LX200 is doing quite well at the Madison Astronomical Societies dark site (Thanks Mark!). Here's an image I took the other night of M27 with the 10D using an f/5 reducer. 12x10 min exposures at ISO 800. Wish the seeing was better here in Wis, but oh well...

Running Man

Posted By Greg Sellek

Ok, it's been YEARS since I posted. But, since then I've learned a lot about running a remote observatory, imaging, and processing. Here's my take on one of my favorites, Running Man. Taken from the DGRO Observatory at Rancho Hildalgo. RC 14.5 with an AP U16M CCD. 6x15min RGB, 10x15min L, and some 8x30min Ha thrown in for good measure.

This image is reduced to 25% for file size.

Cheers,
Greg
