Tripod slow motion adaptersPosted By gail wyant |
I would like information on tripod slow motion adapters. Orion and Celestron sell one for $29 and Celestron also has a second more costly model that says it limits backlash. I have pentax 20 by 70's binoculars.
Do these help inexpensive tripods as opposed to a $100 or more fluid tripod? Would a $100 plus tripod benefit?

Sky Tents/Buy/Rent/Send PicturesPosted By gail wyant |
I am looking to buy a "Sky Tent". If I can not find one to buy, then I would like to rent one or come look at one to take detailed pictures to try and figure out how to make one.
Also anyone willing to send detailed pictures, that would be appreciated as well.
What kind of material is used? What kind of connectors? How is the smooth rotation achieved? Does anyone have any leads to the people who made them? Does anyone have a manual to scan with any details?
Thank You for reading,
Gail Wyant

Stacked Sm 40Posted By gail wyant |
Is the $900 for the double stacked filter worth it for a solar max 40 scope?
What do you see new or better?

Hello All,
Does anyone have an SM 90 within 1 -2 hrs drive of the zipcode 21901?
I would like to look through one before considering a school purchase.

Pentax 20 by 60 focus limitPosted By gail wyant |
Hello All,
I recently purchased Pentax WCP V, 20 by 60 binocs. When I try to focus on Mars, the binocs run out of focusing. I am at the end of travel for the focuser. Aren't the binocs supposed to focus to infinity?
