M51 Good enough to post??

All:
This is the first image I have done that I think looks good enough to post. This was taken by a 10" F4.5 Newt on a Losmandy G11. I took 5 - 6 minute exposures and averaged them through AstroArt. I reduced using dark and flat field only. I also ran an unsharp mask on the final image.
Please be brutally honest on how I can improve this through processing. I have no idea what each filter does so any suggestions would be appreciated.

New Aurora Pic

I took this picture of an aurora on Thursday (10-30-03)evening around 7PM EST. This was in Dawsonville, GA (34 deg). I have never seen an aurora before, but the past 2 days have really been great with the solar activity.
This was taken with a Canon FX with a 50mm lens at F4 using 800 ASA film for 15 seconds.

This was taken from Dawsonville, GA (34 deg latitude) on Thursday evening. I never saw an aurora before, but the past 2 days have really been something! This was taken with a Canon FX with a 50mm lens at F4 using 800 ASA for 15 seconds.
Converting to JPG reduces the quality a bit, but the print is stunning!

The Owl is monstrous at your focal length!! Here is my attempt at it at 10" F4.5 at prime focus. Mine is soooo small!! I took 5 - 5 minute exposures and averaged them through AstroArt. I ran the reduced image through an unsharp mask and that is about all the processing I did.
