G11 vs Celestron CGE

Does anybody have any experience imaging with the CGE mount? I'm ready to buy a mount and I'm looking for some feedback between the two.

Hey all,

Here is my set up. G11 mount with an 8" f/7 Discovery Dob. You can see my shed/observatory (at least thats what I call it) in the backround. So far I am getting good images with a Toucam webcam and a 2x Barlow.

Saturn and the moon

Hello,

I'm making my first attempt towards film astrophotography. Until now, I have only used a Toucam webcam. Anyway, I picked up an OM1 to use with my 8" f/7 newt mounted on my G11. I'm leading towards the Tracker III OAG and I will need to replace my current focuser with a helical one. Can anybody recommend a decent low helical focuser. Gary Wolanski has a few that look promising.

Another rollaway...

I started to build a rollaway to house my G11 for imaging.
I still need to paint and install the rest of the hardware and the moldings. I also want to install a rubber bottom plate to keep out water and insects.

I will post more pictures when I'm completed.

Hey Guys,

I just ordered the newest Toucam and also will be using it with an 8" f/7 Newt. I also have a G11 on the way to mount the scope on. This will be my first attempt at imaging and was wondering if I use a 3x barlow if I'll have trouble reaching focus...
