How to cancel a bid

Posted By Hai Minh Ta

Hi,

I'm running an auction and the bidder has said that they have typed in the wrong bid amount. Is there any way for me to cancel the bid and have them re enter the correct amount?

Merging images, and IP spacing, and fat noses

Posted By Hai Minh Ta

Yeah, me too. I just got a pair of 11x70mm binoculars and I'm having trouble merging the images on stars. For ground objects, merging isn't a problem. Only for stars, do they have a pair of binoculars for this problems?

I have been in the market for a BV and had a chance to look through some at RTMC this year. The interesting thing was that I found I have problems merging images and have very tight IP spacing coupled with a fat nose. Seems I'm not built for binoviewers, but i want to keep trying. I used the Denk std, and the TV. On some I could merge the images and on others I could not, (it didnt matter which brand I was looking through) all views were at low magnification. So now I'm very hesitant to plunk down the bucks for one. Is there one brand that is better for people who have a hard time merging images? By using binoviewers often is it possible to train your brain to merge images? Is fine focus critical to be able to merge the image? Are there certain brands or types of EP's that seem to cause merging problems? Thanks in advance, Vince

Celestron 15x70 vs Oberwerk 11x70

Posted By Hai Minh Ta

If price is your concern, the barskas (on "that" auction site) are really cheap, and they come with the tripod adapter to boot. I've seen favourable reviews on it, though, like the celestron they only come in 15x. Hey, they might even be the same pair as the celestrons.

Hi all

I am planning on buying one of the two bino's in the subject. I have been reading a lot of good reviews on the Oberwerk's but can't seem to find much on the Celestron. Anyone with experience on the Celestron please share. The reason why I am posting is because the Celestron costs almost half of the Oberwerk and as far as I know Celestron is generally a good product.

Thanks
