I too personally dislike them either. Quite annoying when changing eyepieces. Always seem like I have to turn the set screw out another 1/2 turn to avoid getting caught on something. > sad

I was lucky to accuire one Winter Star Party ticket with camping through Astromart. This will be my first WSP attendant. I seem to noticed the food service was not prominently mention on the WSP website and wondered if there are any food service available on site. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

It was a pleasure meeting you, even for a moment. I too had a wonderful experience at the WSP. Observing some of the Southern jewels for the first time is a real treat for me, since I'm down from the northern latitudes. Still have a nice glowing feeling about it. I'm definitely will return again.

I'm currently at 52, live in southeastern PA where I get 5th magnitude skies on a good night. Once had a 28 year career as a machinist until I went on disability with a right below elbow amputation in late 2002 due to bone cancer. Been into the hobby off and on since around 10. Once I joined the local club http://www.chesmontastro.org in the late 90's is when I began to go out observing in earnest with club members, accuiring ever larger scopes along the way. Gotten a lot of support from my club members during my dark difficult time. And more importantly, appreciating a new lease on life from cancer. In spite of my physical shortcoming, I'm happy to handle my largest of dobs such as my 20" Obsession. Have more time to persue my hobby. And loving it.

What are you doing to save on GAS?

Beautiful car Ivan. I once own a 1985 Subaru Hatchback which given me as high as 46 MPG. I driven it all over the country with it, once to California with over 210,000 miles on it. I finally part with it after 11 years and over 244,000 miles on it. Confident it could go 300,000 miles without any problems. In spite of slight oil leak, this is one of the best vehicle I ever had in my opinion in term of mechanical reliability.

Righ now, I just leave my Saturn L200 station wagon in the garage, and go out only when there is a need for it. Currently getting in the mid 20's, and observed as high as 33 MPG.
