Mak-Cass MK66 or M615

Posted By Mok Chong Kin

I intend to buy a Mak-Cass for the lunar observation. ITE supply MK66 ( 15cm F/12 ) and M615 ( 15cm F/15), which one is better for my purpose ? It is seldoom to find any using report and the optical performance for the M615.

ITE give me the following message :
Every M615 that I have tested is better than 1/7 wave front correction. The
enhanced coatings are 10% brighter than standard Mak-Cass models.
The central obstruction is 28.5% .
The M615 has a full length Vixen dovetail type bar mounted to its frame
work.

The 88mm binoculars was made in China. I haven't any using experience about the binoculars. But I have a 100mm China made binoculars with 20x and 32x oculars with 4 pieces objective lens but have bad optical performance.( especiaIly in 32x). I think they are come from same factories.

Hi , Markus Ludes

" I am have been lucky enought to look through the Ethos at NEAF , in single mode , but also in binoviewer, 2 pc side by side "

Do you mean that the Ethos can use in binoviewer and bino-telescope ? Thanks !
